Dear Friends,
The Center for Portuguese Studies and Culture and the Department of Portuguese are proud to host the first East Coast screening of the film, The Fortunate Ones, directed by Jeanne Waltz. This is a film adaptation of the novel by the same title by Lídia Jorge. The film is presented in Portuguese with English subtitles.
Jeanne Waltz will present the film and also offer an audience Q & A. The film screening will take place on Tuesday, 23 April 2024. It will be held on the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth campus, College of Visual and Performing Arts, room 153. The film screening will begin at 6 PM. Light refreshments will be served starting at 5:30 PM. This event is free and open to the public. Guests should use Parking Lot #6.
