Dr. Helen Mary Hill OTL
It is with great sadness, love and respect that AETA shares the news that Dr. Helen Mary Hill, Order of Timor-Leste, Profesora Convidada, Universidade Nacional Timor Lori Sae, Dili, Honorary Fellow, Victoria University, (Melbourne), and co-founder of AETA, passed away early today on 7 May at Caritas Christi Hospice in Melbourne.
So many of you knew Helen – worked with her, advocated with her, organised with her, argued with her – meeting with her for wide ranging and useful conversations. You will know how much she contributed to Timor-Leste and how deeply she was loved and respected.
A beloved friend, teacher, mentor and colleague to so many, Helen’s legacy will continue in the years to come.
Our deepest sympathy to Helen’s family and friends around the world.
