Today at our Commemoration Service to Honour The Timorese Peoples tragic experience WW2, we learned the Last Timorese Commando Z Special Operations (1943) had died, age 98.
Senhor Cancio dos Reis Noronha, with several Timorese Men including his brother Bernadino, was selected for Commando training at Fraser Island, Cairns and Richmond for Z covert operations 1943/44, under command of Capt. Arthur (Steve) Stevenson SRD & War Crimes Investigation 1945.
