A agricultura num beco sem saída
Os últimos quadros comunitários de apoio, o Pró-rural foram formatados para a quantidade com quase a duplicação da produção com custos muito elevados, pois metade da alimentação dos animais é importada (rações e palha), para produzirmos leite UHT, leite em pó e queijo barra.
No governo de Carlos Cesar e Noé Rodrigues em 2011 e 2012 chegou-se ao cúmulo de comprar cota no continente numa altura em que já se sabia que a cota terminava em 2015. Constitui um erro grosseiro de estratégia estrutural, atiraram a lavoura para um beco sem saída.
A crise não chega da mesma forma a todos, aqueles que não tem infraestruturas nenhumas, que tem máquina de ordenha móvel, que tem corredor de alimentação móvel, a água é transportada em autotanque e em semanas de mau tempo têm lama por todo o lado, obriga a custos de produção mais elevados e ainda vende a um custo mais baixo, pois não têm refrigeração nem porta de fábrica e são esmagadoramente rendeiros levando a que obviamente não se possam candidatar ao Pró-rural para construir as infraestruturas básicas necessárias, nesta situação estão aproximadamente 600 lavradores.
Na mensagem de Natal demagógica de Jorge Rita, com imagens da feira abastarda dando uma ideia que a lavoura está bem, não houve nem uma palavra de apoio a estes lavradores que diariamente estão a perder dinheiro e não têm qualquer futuro no quadro atual.

Two people are dead, million-dollar accommodation destroyed and up to 100,000 hectares of land lost in bushfires raging on South Australia’s Kangaroo Island.
The “virtually unstoppable” blazes burning through the island’s west continue to rage out of control, with a watch and act warning in place for most of the region.

At one stage, the entire island was subject to either an emergency warning or a watch and act advice, with only the towns of Kingscote and Penneshaw on the east coast considered safe places.
Despite six senior staff members remaining to battle the blaze, the luxury Southern Ocean Lodge has suffered significant damage.
As the flames bore down, staff took shelter in a specially designed bunker.
Staff say it is too early to estimate a reopening date as the full extent of the damage is assessed.
Owners James and Hayley Baillie said initial plans were already at hand to rebuild the award-winning luxury lodge.
“We are absolutely shocked and saddened by today’s events,” the pair said.
“A bushfire incident such as this is really our worst nightmare come true.
“In the short to medium term, we would like to take the lead in rebuilding the Kangaroo Island tourism industry.

“As much as possible we would like to contribute to the economic and social recovery of the broader Kangaroo Island community, which has really been such a genuine part of the lodge’s resonance for both our Australian and international guests.
“Our immediate priority is to the wellbeing of our guests and staff, an overarching aim which we are relieved to report has been achieved today.”
A police forensic team is on its way to a burnt-out car found near Parndana, with the bodies of two people found on Saturday.
There have been no other reports of people missing or other injuries but three fire crews endured burn-overs in their trucks.
Premier Steven Marshall said the deaths were tragic news.
“Our hearts go out to the families of those people who have been affected,” he said.
“It really does reiterate the very important message that people listen to the alerts.
“This a very dangerous situation on Kangaroo Island.”
A watch and act warning remains in place for the fire which has now destroyed about 100,000 hectares including large parts of the Flinders Chase National Park.

Deixará de existir a paragem do aeroporto, tendo em conta as reivindicações dos profissionais de táxis do concelho.
