THE CONTROVERSY CONTINUES; DICTAMINE THE -IBA-, THAT OLYMPIC BOXERS IMANE KHELIF AND LIN YU-TING ARE MEN
** A passport can give us identity, but medicine and science do not lie: Ioannis Filippatos
Today the International Boxing Association (IBA) held a press conference in Paris to address the issues surrounding Algerian boxer Imane Khelif and Taiwanese Lin Yu-Ting.
Dr. Ioannis Filippatos, former president of the IBA Medical Committee and gynecologist and obstetrician with three decades of experience participated.
Confirmed that Imane Khelif and Lin Yu-Thing ARE NOT WOMEN and has criticized the ICO for using passports as a system to determine gender.
The highlight of the wheel was:
*Both boxers were initially subjected to chromosome testing by an independent laboratory in Istanbul after the IBA received complaints from coaches and competitors during the 2022 Women’s Boxing World Championships.
*Both boxers re-tested in India during the Women’s Boxing World Championships 2023 to clarify and confirm previous results.
*Both were found to have XY chromosomes.
*Both were informed in writing of the test results.
*Both had the opportunity to appeal the results to the Sports Arbitration Court.
*The IBA offered to pay most of the costs so both boxers could appeal.
*Lin Yu-Ting did not appeal.
*Imane Khelif appealed and then withdrew it.
During the questions, some journalists appear to be arguing with Dr. Filippatos, demanding that he elaborate better whether Khelif and Lin were born women.
“The results of blood tests from the labs suggest that these boxers are males.”
“Medicine is knowledge, not opinion.. A passport can give us the chance to be men and tomorrow when I return to Athens I can go to my government and change my name from Ioannis to Ionnia.
Does that mean that I will be a woman tomorrow? Please. Nature and the biological world do not change.”
