Hi CHRYS – We’re halfway through the International Seabed Authority (ISA) meetings in Jamaica, and we can celebrate a couple of big wins for the deep-sea mining resistance. Just this past Friday, Portugal, Finland, and Brazil joined the growing chorus of more than 20 countries voicing opposition to deep-sea mining. Today marks the last day of the ISA Council meeting. With no regulations for deep-sea mining in place, there are major decisions on the table. Will corporations be allowed to start mining the seabed without sound regulations?
