The intaglios (anthropomorphic geoglyphs) of the Colorado Desert near Blythe, along the California-Arizona border have been called the Nazca lines of the Americas. The series of geometric shapes, animals, and humans, carved into the soil, are only visible from the sky, raising questions as to what they represent and why they were created.
