THE MONSTER BUILDING
The Yick Cheong Building or Monster Building is Hong Kong’s most iconic building set located in Quarry Bay, the perfect example of a human swarm.
It’s a system of five interconnected buildings. The five blocks consist of 2243 apartments and can house 10.000 people, people live in small apartments of about 40 square meters.
The site became famous on social media, and many tourists visit Hong Kong just to take a picture in this exotic building, so much that residents have put signs to ban photos.
