KNPB is the peaceful organisation that mobilises the people of West Papua for the legal right to self determination – a referendum on independence.

The Inauguration event of KNPB region of Mapiha lasted for a day and was witnessed by 4 Regional board agencies, chairman of KNPB region nabire, chairman of KNPB region of dogiyai, chairman of KNPB region of deiyai and chairman of KNPB region of paniai.
Mecky Yeimo in his speech says, that the National Committee of West Papua (KNPB) region of mapiha, must realize and know is that KNPB is a pure organization of the people for the people to realize the right of self-determination through the referendum. Then all members of the KNPB region must convey information to the people.
The Inauguration event lasts, October 25 to, October 26, 2019 the delivery of National Civil Strike’s to referendum and then thanksgiving to build the ground oven.
KNPB to deliver information to the people of West Papua in mapiha, delivering according to the agenda that will be delivered directly from the central admin agency of the KNPB.

The activity of the KNPB is the duty and responsibility to prepare towards the national agenda that is “West Papua National Civil Strike”.
In the welcome it is also delivered to all the layers of West Papua people in the country of mapiha, that do not look at the struggle coming from abroad, but this struggle we start from our own. And also do not be delusional abroad but the struggle begins from our own to realize our dream in this country that our dream is Papua Merdeka (Papua freedom).
KNPB now has 34 regional commands and 7 [seven] region region of Indonesia Consulate in Indonesian cities.
KNPB is focusing on strengthening the grassroots movement base towards the national civil strike of West Papua Nation.

Vinte e dois anos depois resta a memória de uma das maiores tragédias ocorridas na freguesia da Ribeira Quente, concelho da Povoação, ilha de S.Miguel.
Depois de um dia e noite de chuvas intensas, entre as 3 e as 3 horas e 30 minutos, deu-se uma forte derrocada que arrasou grande parte da zona antiga desta localidade, tendo provocado a morte a 29 pessoas, sendo a mais nova uma criança de três semanas e o mais idoso um residente de setenta e seis anos.

A PORTA PEGA-GORDO – Os monges do Mosteiro de Santa Maria de Alcobaça, a 88 quilômetros de Coimbra, em Portugal, eram submetidos na Idade Média a um tratamento infalível contra a obesidade. Até hoje não foi superado por nenhuma dieta. Os monges que comiam no refeitório eram obrigados a buscar a própria comida na cozinha ao lado. Ninguém podia servi-los. O problema é que precisavam atravessar uma porta. E daí? É que a porta media 2 metros de altura e apenas 32 centímetros de largura. Quem não conseguisse ultrapassá-la ficava sem comer e, obviamente, emagrecia velozmente.
Os superiores dos monges recorreram à porta pega-gordo porque a gula é um dos sete pecados capitais e a obesidade os tornava menos aptos aos trabalhos braçais. Os religiosos pertenciam à extinta Ordem de Cister, cujos seguidores trabalhavam como agricultores e produziam tudo que consumiam. Em 1834, eles foram obrigados a abandonar o mosteiro, pelo decreto governamental que suprimiu as ordens religiosas de Portugal. Hoje, o Mosteiro de Alcobaça, considerado uma das sete maravilhas de Portugal, funciona como museu. Uma de suas atrações é justamente a porta pega-gordo, que pretendo revisitar em novembro, quando for a Portugal. Espero não engordar demais até lá. J.A.DIAS LOPES
