What it definitely isn’t, says Weathers, is hot water. Hot water is dangerous because it could crack the windshield.

What it is, is rubbing alcohol and water.

Mix two parts rubbing alcohol with one part water, pour it into a spray bottle, and you have the “solution” to all your defrosting woes.

Spray it on your windshield and watch the magic happen.
