It would take a mind like Kafka’s or Camus’, or Aristophanes’ for that matter, to mirror the horror of Julian Assange’s ongoing trial in London. It’s beyond any human being’s comprehension or basic compassion. The former British Empire, in collusion with their American masters, have once again revealed their essentially uncivilized barbarity. This prosecution of an investigative publisher and truth-teller reveals to us all, without filter, the true guilt of the American Empire caught naked in its crimes. How can our media be so soulless as to ignore this show-trial at this critical moment in history before an election like this? Is it because they’re ashamed of their own role in this, as they should be? Is it because their beloved Obama is as guilty as Trump in prosecuting him?
The only way back to some honor in this sordid affair is for this British judge, who’s shown no sign of mercy as yet, to acquit and set free Julian Assange as a most honorable citizen of this world.
Below is another great article from one of the few journalist we can look up to as a pillar of our age — John Pilger.
