Lou Ottens, inventor of the cassette tape, passed away aged 94. I have fond memories of the first transistor radio + tape recorder I owned in Poland, on which I recorded songs and albums featured on various shows (LPs and prerecorded cassettes were either impossible or expensive to buy). Clean tapes were also at a premium, so I often recorded new content over no-longer-desired earlier recordings. I bought my first walkman in the US in the 1980s, and loved it more than I can say. Thank you, Mr. Ottens
