“History teaches us that when the generation that experienced war dies out, caution diminishes and naiveté toward war increases,” said a German historian.
History is not a Hollywood movie. We must work hard for peace every single day.
PS: An example – The danger of a dominant communist influence in Portugal is real. An active minority of communist politicians and political parties – Leninist, Trotskyist, Stalinist and of other bizarre types – already has an unreasonably strong political influence in the government, in its policies and in a mostly brainless media. We cannot ignore them; we must trash them. We must wipe them out at elections time. We must educate people in critical thinking.
