    THE BIKINI IN ANTIQUES
The bikini is an ancient invention as evidenced by the depictions of the Roman Villa of Casale in Sicily. You can clearly see the use of women to go to the spa or the gym, in the Roman times during Late Antiquity. It distinguishes ladies who engage in ancient sports, such as ball games, or practicing gymnastics thanks to low weights. The balance and joy of life emanating from this 3rd-4th century mosaic make it a true praise of sport and its benefits. One can easily imagine the wives of the citizens of the Roman Empire, who were going to the thermal baths with their friends. Where they played different sports and wore two-piece swimsuits that have nothing to envy ours. Antiquity is definitely a fascinating time, some aspects of which were more modern.
